Tim Kennedy was cheating by illegally holding Yoel Romero's glove (not his hand but his glove) when he hurt him! Romero should have been given more time to recover in the first place since those blows were illegal. Thoughts..
Kennedy's hold was illegal, but it was a fraction of a second and had no impact of Yoel's movement or defence. I'm sure if you go back in the first you'll find Yoel grabbing shorts or the fence, happens every fight, its something unintentionally, but as 99.9% of sherdoggers never experienced the competitive nature of a fight (getting beat up doesn't count) they wouldn't know.
On the other hand what Yoel did was intentional and had a much greater impact, along with being 28 seconds as opposed to a fraction of a second.
Yoel fans (and mainly blind Kennedy haters) are coming out in force and using the main tactic of someone who knows they are wrong, attack everyone instead of defending your (or in this case your chosen fighter 's) actions. Everyone goes after Tim because there is no excuse for Yoel and his corner refusing to answer the bell when required to.
...
Yes it is directly related, if someone hurts you with illegal damaging shot you should be given extra time to recover. IE groin shots, knee or kick to the head of a downed opponent etc etc.

"offenses that went glaringly unpunished, like the time he stayed on the stool for an extended period of time between rounds against Tim Kennedy. "
The only reason this happened is because Kennedy finger-hooked Yoel’s glove.
Romero should have been given a five minute reprieve after Kennedy’s blatant foul.
Come on Chuck. You’re better than that.
Yeah, Yoel’s failure to make weight for his win against Luke is very pertinent to the discussion, but let’s not add something that isn’t Yoel’s fault.

Huh?
He stayed on his stool too long between rounds because Kennedy finger hooked his glove? Alright then. Only way to stop cheaters is to punish all very hard. Ufc will never do this so get used to cheaters cheating. They refuse to do so because they know that the punishments will be determined by how much money they bring in. If bringing in ppv buys a fighter can bring a gun to the ring. Gonna keep getting worse too

No, he stayed on his stool too long because he was stunned due to Kennedy's blatant hook followed by multiple punches thrown while he knowingly held the hooks.
So yeah, without the finger-in-the-glove hooks, the punches would likely have not connected due to Yoel being able to defend them.
The chain of offenses started with Kennedy. Take that away, and everything would have likely been very different.

So wait..if a fighter gets rocked at the end of the round your saying the natural result will be the rockee will ignore the bell and continue chilling on the stool to start the next round?
Or are you saying because Kennedy chose to cheat by holding the glove that ‘caused’ Romero to also cheat??
How about this:
Each fighter is expected to follow the rules period regardless of how the other fighter conducts themselves. Romero is sentient and autonomous noone else causes him to cheat
