Physicists have for many years been suggesting that the Universe may actually be a giant brain

Looking at the picture above, you'll see that the one on the left is a picture of a human brain cell. While on the right, a picture of the Universe.

At first glance, the neural network of the human brain looks shockingly similar to the atomic network of the physical Universe, stretching out throughout the vastness of space.

Could it be that the Universe is actually a gigantic brain?

Well...perhaps!

In 1957, two physicists, Chen Ning Yang & Tsung-Dao Lee, both won the Nobel prize for proving that subatomic particles have intelligence. So the Universe is, quite literally, intelligent. But that's not all.

Physicists have for many years been suggesting that the Universe may actually be a giant brain. Why? Because it looks and behaves exactly like one.

Following the link below to an article published on the Huffington post in 2012, it quotes:

"According to a study published in Nature's Scientific Reports, the universe may be growing in the same way as a giant brain - with the electrical firing between brain cells 'mirrored' by the shape of expanding galaxies.

The results of a computer simulation suggest that "natural growth dynamics" - the way that systems evolve - are the same for different kinds of networks - whether its the internet, the human brain or the universe as a whole."

So you could say the physical Universe appears to operate much like a massive brain, or mind. Or a sea of living consciousness.

If our minds are the microcosmic-mind, then the Universe is The macro-cosmic Mind. Or what some may refer to as, The Mind of God.

However there's more. This also echos one principle found in the ancient esoteric teachings of Hermeticism. Which states:

"The All is Mind; The Universe is Mental."

For many thousands of years, Hermeticism has held the secret that God is Mind and the Universe is a Mental Plane. Or in other words, the Universe is actually The Mind of God.

This principle, which science seems to be edging very close to finally explaining, considers God to be a universal, infinite living mind, which we exist inside of, yet are also a part of.

The Hermetic teachings, which are now thousands of years old, share with us the True nature of God, or The All, and write the following:

"We have given you the Hermetic Teaching regarding the Mental Nature of the Universe - the truth that "the Universe is Mental - held in the Mind of THE ALL."

As the Kybalion says...: "All is in THE ALL." But note also the co-related statement, that: "It is equally true that THE ALL is in ALL."

It's in this sense that I believe many refer to humanity, nature, God and Universe as being One, a term often spoken as, 'We Are One'.

As part of this belief, or so-called Truth, we are all part of the same living Mind and are all connected by this vast network.

The Source is all around us, it's within us, and we are all part of this same living consciousness which is the very fabric of the Universe and our physical reality.

Reality, in this sense, is not simply made for us, but through us. There is no separation between us, the Universe, and what we consider to be God, or the Creative Universal Intelligence which we spring from.

We are One.

Could we really be living within the Mind of God?

Is this why it is quoted within the Christian Bible that 'not a sparrow falls, without God knowing it'?

Is it really because the sparrow exists within the Mind of God and is nothing more than the mental creation of God?

Are we humans then but a mental projection of The Source, which manifests as Us in order to experience itself?

The mind does truly boggle!

For the first time however, modern day science seems to be getting very close to explaining what our ancient ancestors have claimed to know for thousands of years.

Could the nature of Humanity, the Universe, the nature of existence itself, be an explanation that's just around the corner?

We'll just have to wait to find out.

Namaste
