How Are The Nodes Used In Astrology?

The Lunar Nodes aren’t planets, but rather astrology mathematical points, that are directly opposite each other in the chart.

It is said, that your life purpose is encoded between them - in the line between North Node and South Node.

Faced with the challenge of finding a solution to Barcelona’s overcrowding and increasingly insalubrious living conditions, one Catalan architect came up with a new idea. Ildefons Cerdà proposed to unite the old city of Barcelona with a number of smaller towns and villages which surrounded it, such as Gràcia and Sarrià. What’s more, in order to design this extension of the city—or eixample in Catalan—Cerdà set out to study the way residents lived in the urban space surrounding them. He paid attention to things like fresh air, green spaces, modes of transport and proximity to markets. Known as ‘urban planning’ today, this mode of thinking was revolutionary at the time and Cerdà’s proposal was ridiculed by many. After carefully studying the city and its residents, Cerdà proposed to build the Eixample as a strict grid pattern of equally sized blocks. Long, wide streets cut across the blocks in order to facilitate transport and navigation. Additionally, each of the blocks was made into an octagon, with chamfered corners giving the impression that they were ‘cut off’. According to Cerdà, this detail would provide greater air circulation in the streets, higher visibility around corners and would make it possible for trams to easily turn the corners of the blocks. The blocks were also all oriented in a NW-SE direction so as to ensure that each household received enough natural light each day. One of the other features of Cerdà’s pioneering design was the provision for green spaces in the centre of each of the blocks. These gardens were designed to provide recreational spaces for the residents and a place to enjoy the outdoor air away from the roads. https://theculturetrip.com/europe/spain/articles/why-is-barcelona-built-in-squares/

The South Node indicates your comfort zone, your habitual place, while your North Node shows life lessons and what you’re striving for in this lifetime.

Both Lunar Nodes are almost always retrogade.

The lunar nodes help us answer questions like: What am I supposed to do with my life?

Why am I here and what’s my mission?

What was I in a past life?

...
...

Astrologers use the lunar nodes to determine where your destiny lies (north node) and what you were in past lifetimes (south node).

Walking through La Rambla is a unique experience. There, a melting pot of tourists and locals take place at all times. As a result, La Rambla is fully crowded and busy all day long. Once you start walking, you’ll notice typical newsstands, kiosks selling souvenirs, cafes, restaurants, fruit and flowershops. The architecture can be quite stunning. A clear example is Casa Bruno Cuadros (La Rambla, Nº 82), a very famous building. As the walk progresses, more untraditional establishments and peculiar characters start to appear, such as the human statues and street performers, a must see spectacle in La Rambla. The Columbus Monument marks the end. Walk a bit ahead and you’ll find the Rambla de Mar, a wooden bridge over the sea that connects with Maremagnum Shopping Centre, that offers astonishing views of the Port Vell Marina. https://barcelonando.com/la-rambla

The nodes change signs every 18 months approximately.

The lunar nodes are determined by the points where the moon’s orbit crosses the “ecliptic”—the apparent path the Sun makes around the earth.

(We say “apparent” because in reality, the earth is revolving around the Sun…but from our vantage point on the planet, it appears that the Sun is moving.)

The nodes take into account the Sun, the moon and the earth.

They fall in the same signs that the eclipses are in when you’re born.

The nodes play a powerful role in non-Western astrology. Kabbalah’s astrology focuses primarily on the lunar nodes.

People in Africa invented hunting bows and arrows, probably about 64,000 years ago. Some of the earliest arrowheads come from South Africa. Central Asian people invented the composite bow. To make a strong bow out of wood, it has to be pretty long – nearly as tall as a person. When people began to ride horses in Central Asia, about 2500 BC, these long bows got in their way. So about this time, somebody in Central Asia invented the stronger, more flexible composite bow. The composite bow is made of layers of wood, animal horns, and sinew, glued together in layers (usually a layer of sinew, then wood in the middle, then horn on the other side), and you can bend it a lot farther without breaking it, so you can shoot arrows with a shorter bow that will fit better on your horse. Gradually the invention spread: by 1300 BC, Egyptian soldiers were also riding horses and using composite bows, and by about 300 BC Chinese soldiers were using composite bows. https://quatr.us/africa/invented-bow-arrow.htm

This system calls the north node your tikkun (“correction”) and view it as the karmic adjustment your soul must make.

On 24 December 1651, accompanied by his wife and son, Jan van Riebeeck set off from Texel, Netherlands for the Cape of Good Hope. Van Riebeeck had signed a contract with the Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie (Dutch East India Company) (VOC) to oversee the setting up of a refreshment station to supply Dutch ships on their way to the East. Sailing on the Dromedaris, with two other ships, the Rejiger and De Goede Hoop close behind, Van Riebeeck was accompanied by 82 men and 8 women. The journey would take a little over four months, with Van Riebeeck and company spotting land on 5 April, and making landfall on 6 April, 1652. Van Riebeeck was under strict instructions not to colonise the region. Instead he was to build a fort and erect a flagpole for signalling to ships and boats to escort them into the bay. The aim was to simply establish a refreshment station to supply the crews of the VOC’s passing trading ships with fresh water, vegetables and fruit, meat, and medical assistance. However, due to a war that erupted between the Dutch and the British, construction of the fort became urgent and it was completed with four corners made of mud, clay and timber – in the middle of what is today Adderley Street. The first winter that Van Riebeeck and company endured in the Cape was a rough one, with both their food stocks and their numbers dwindling – about 19 men died. Permits were issued in February 1657 to free nine VOC servants (who became the Free Burghers) to farm along the Liesbeeck River in order to deal with a wheat shortage. In response to the growing number of skirmishes with the local population, Van Riebeeck planted a wild almond hedge in 1660 to protect his settlement. A few of these almond trees still survive in the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Van Riebeeck left the Cape in May 1652, leaving behind 134 officials, 35 Free Burghers, 15 women, 22 children and 180 slaves. https://roodepoortnorthsider.co.za/272183/today-in-history-jan-van-riebeeck-landed-at-the-cape-of-good-hope-in-1652-web-only/

Vedic astrology calls the nodes the head (Rahu/north node) and tail (Ketu/south node) of the dragon and take a harsher view of the south node’s karma.

Note to parents-to-be: if you have a child around the age of 18-19 or 36-37, you’ll share the same nodes.

Khoisan hunter. The Khoikhoi and the San. The hunters of today have no collective name for themselves. They use their own group names, such as Ju/'hoansi (people who live on the border between northern Namibia and Botswana) or Hai//om (people who live around Etosha National Park). San = Sanqua = Soaqua was a name given to hunters by the Khoekhoen of the Cape. The word means 'people different from ourselves' and became associated with those without livestock, or people who stole livestock. The name 'Bushman' or 'Bossiesman' was given to low status people by the Dutch settlers in the 1600's, and referred to those who collected their food off the land and had no domestic animals. Khoekhoen = Khoikhoi = Kwena is a general name which the herding people of the Cape used for themselves. The word can be translated to mean 'the real people' or 'men of men', meaning 'we people with domestic animals' as opposed to the Sonqua or Bushmen who had none. Khoesaan = Khoisan is a general term which linguists use for the click language of southern Africa. Physical anthropologists use it as a biological term to distinguish the aboriginal people of southern Africa from their black African farming neighbours. http://www.khoisan.org/

And if you date, marry or join forces with someone 9-10 years older or younger than you, there’s a good chance they’ll have the opposite nodes. (For example, your south node is Virgo and their north node is Virgo).

 The San people

This can be a powerful but polarizing pairing—you’ve both mastered what the other one has come here to learn.

If you combine your natural skills, you can be unstoppable.

The ultimate book on the nodes is Astrology for the Soul by Jan Spiller.

A huge influence who we learned so much from, Spiller passed away July 2016.

We are forever grateful for what we learned about the nodes from her writing.

Did you know that St. Louis is home to one of the oldest public gardens in America? Founded in 1859, the Missouri Botanical Garden is a National Historic Landmark – not to mention one of the prettiest places in city limits.

Grapes, is a symbol of fertility and wealth. Sweet berries bring happiness and success in love. If grapes are seen by a man in a dream, it means that he will meet his soul mate, and will enjoy socializing with her and will be happy as a child. To dream of harvested grapes means that your dreams will come true, you will have happy love relationship, and success in business. A lot of vines with large berries promises monetary income and material wealth. Bunches of ripe grapes predict rise through the ranks. Red grapes, mean consternation; white grapes, mean that you will acquire a new friend. If you see grapes that somebody brings to your mouth, it means that you can expect new friends, and love relationships. Plucked bunches of grapes, is a sign of the strength of your social status. For a woman, the dream in which she eats the grapes from the bunch, promises the emergence of a new fan or new suitors. If you see crushed grapes or crush it in your dreams, it means that you will achieve your goals. If you gather the grapes for the wine, it means that your path is correct, and soon you will experience success. If you hide grapes from the view, it portends wealth and strengthening position in society. Usually this dream brings good luck. http://globe-views.com/dreams/grapes.html

One of the great heroes of the British Empire was General Charles George Gordon, better known as “Gordon of Khartoum.” Gordon died in a revolt in Sudan in 1885.

Apart from his military life and death, he is known for his eccentric beliefs. He believed, for example, that the original Garden of Eden was to be found in the tropical Indian Ocean islands, specifically on the island of Praslin in the Seychelles.

In St. Louis, we have our own tropical Garden of Eden in the Climatron. It towers above us with its fan-shaped, 15-by-30 foot leaves, a majestic sight of the most remarkable species of the Plant Kingdom.

Only recently I became aware that in the Climatron we are cultivating a fascinating and rare plant. It is Lodoicea maldivica, or Coco-de-Mer, which towers above us with its fan-shaped, 15-by-30 foot leaves.

It is a majestic sight, and one of the most remarkable species of the Plant Kingdom. Gordon would have regarded it as a genuine survivor from the real Garden of Eden. We don’t know if our specimen is male or female.  It has not yet bloomed.

However, we do have an example of a giant Coco-de-Mer seed. You can see it on display in the Brookings Interpretive Center, where we provide warm lights to simulate its tropical home. You may also see Seychelles geckos on the massive seed.

They like to perch and warm themselves under the lights. The Coco-de-Mer is also known as the double coconut palm. It is an ancient species, one of the most primitive, and native only to the inner islands of the Seychelles.

The palm tree has become extinct on three of the islands. It remains present but endangered on the islands of Praslin and Curieuse.

The Coco-de-Mer has long been a plant of almost mythical status. Long before it was discovered in the wild, its empty seeds were washed up on the shores of Africa and India, hence the way it gained its name. Fabulous examples of seeds adorned with silver, gold, and gems can be found in museums around the world.

They are symbols of eroticism and great wealth. Ironically, the tree is threatened in part because of its distinguished seeds. They are the largest of any plant in the world; some weigh as much as 60 pounds.

Before more effective protection was put in place, the seeds were widely harvested and sold, which led to a dramatic decrease in the palms’ reproduction. These seeds sell for huge prices. On the internet auction site Ebay, I found a seed last week for sale for almost $1,200!

Habitat loss and fire also have resulted in the loss of more populations. This loss is being curbed in recent years with the creation of a special Coco de Mer Management Decree. The main population of trees now grows in national parks on the eychelles.

Trade of the nut is controlled, and the Seychelles government asked for this species to be added to the CITES list (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species), which forbids trade in endangered species products such as ivory, rhino horn and wild orchids. Nevertheless, despite these efforts the species is still listed on the international Red List of Threatened Species*.

https://www.facebook.com/annataylormusicangel/

I became fascinated by this remarkable tree when I spent time in the Seychelles some years ago, helping to create their National Strategy for Plant Conservation to safeguard the hundreds of native plants that are now threatened with extinction.

Efforts to cultivate endangered species play an important part in their conservation and highlight the threats of species extinction.

The nodes (south and north node) are two points in an astrological chart that possess priceless information about one's karmic past and soul-destined future.

Calculated by using the birth data of the individual, the nodes symbolize the unique life path that one is on and can answer many questions about his own, as well as his partner's, inner struggles and desires -- answers that can transform not only his relationship but his life.

Since there are twelve signs of the zodiac, there are also twelve unique nodal positions -- each pair of nodes (north and south) representing two opposite signs of the zodiac.

For instance, a Capricorn sign north node is paired with an Cancer sign south node because they are opposites.

And because they are opposites, they create a clear picture of the dualistic struggle that resides within the Capricorn north node/Cancer south node individual.

Often, the individual is unaware of the war taking place inside, a situation that could go on for years.

As time passes he is dumfounded by his inability to progress in life - professionally, emotionally, and spiritually.

He doesn't understand why he keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over again and continues to dwell on the past as he desperately dreams of the future.

All of us have our own set of visible (and invisible) struggles to work through -- obstacles that the nodes of the noon can help us isolate and resolve while simultaneously freeing us to move forward on our destined path.

We all know that knowledge is power...and that's why I offer a bit of it to you...to give you the strength and courage you need to not only live, but thrive.

This week I'd like to begin with a brief overview of the Capricorn sign north node/Cancer sign south node position.

To start, let's take a look at some keywords.

These words describe the polarity between these two opposing signs and can offer you a glimpse of the soul journey that the individual with this nodal position is on.

Just remember that the south node represents the comfortable but not necessarily healthy habits within your personality - patterns that have accumulated over lifetimes that now need to be acknowledged and released.

The north node, on the other hand, represents your soul's potential - the direction of the future...the behavioral habits that will lead you to greater happiness and the kind of life that you will find fulfilling.

Here are a few Cancer sign south node traits that should be put to rest, sort of speak, if the individual with this nodal position is to live an emotionally rich life:

Overly-sensitive, crabby, manipulative, obsessed with past, clingy, childish, overly-reserved, smothering, insecure, negative, easily hurt.

Here are a few Capricorn sign north node traits that this individual might at first find foreign but eventually will need to embrace if he is to connect to his true soul potential and live the life he was meant to live:

Self-sufficient, responsible, wise, ambitious, hardworking, conservative, meticulous, enterprising, economical, disciplined, committed, goal-oriented.

The journey from a Cancer sign south node to a Capricorn sign north node will not be easy. But then again, neither is anything else in life that’s worth doing.

Obstacles are simply strategically placed hurdles meant to remind us of our inner strength and hidden needs.

Therefore, as long as the Capricorn sign north node individual remembers that his soul is creating the kind of life he needs in order to evolve as a spiritual individual, he will make it through the transformation just fine.

The following are some of the hurdles that the Capricorn north node individual must overcome in order to live up to his potential;

Once you figure out your rising sign / ascendant using this table, go back to the sun sign column and look for that rising sign, then move up one space above it to locate the element of you immediate past life. For example, if you're an Aries borne at 12-2am, then that would make you are an Aquarius rising, and your immediate past life would be a Capricon.

• He must learn how to become a mature individual; responsible for his actions and able to take care of his own needs
• He must stop living behind rose-colored glasses
• He must stop being overly-dependent on others
• He must realize that clinging to the past will no longer provide the comfort and nurturance he so desperately needs
• He must understand that certain un-welcomed life events are simply there to help him transform from a “child” to an adult
• He must protect himself from absorbing the problems of the world because all they do is drain him of his life force
• He must learn to let go
• He must learn to accept loss and find peace in the creation of his present

For only when the Capricorn sign north individual masters the lessons mentioned above, will he be able to create the existence he seeks.

The north node path is offering the Capricorn sign soul an opportunity to acquire wisdom, strength, and self-reliance.

However, it is still up to the individual to decide whether he will accept the gift.

Having said all that, it might not be such a bad idea for the Capricorn sign soul to surround himself with as many people and symbols that can support his journey.

By encircling himself with people who understand him and symbols that exude the Capricorn sign energy, he invites the support needed to follow his internal voice and path to fulfillment.

Now, if you’re reading this article and it's your mate that has the Capricorn sign north node, and you do that for your mate, well...that's just about the greatest gift that you could ever give him/or her.

Why? Well, because there's nothing like the feeling one gets when he realizes that he has found someone who really gets him -- a true friend...lover...and the irreplaceable soul companion he's been searching for his entire life.

Author Topic: Plastic Surgery to Look Korean

Vietnamese do plastic surgery to look Korean. But Korean do plastic surgery to look like someone else. So we do plastic surgery to look like someone who did plastic surgery to look like someone else. O the paradoxes. This is making my head spins.

Are you Korean? Be proud and admit it. Or else, your people will be known as cowards. And, No. I haven't seen any Viets who had plastic surgeries to get flat azz, slit eyes yet. I see many Viets with small eyes (still bigger than koreans on average) get double eyelid surgeries like everyday.

Are you very negrito-looking that you can't tell between Asians? Before 1975, some people like Elvis Phuong (a famous singer) had double-eye surgery. See his old photo.

Am I Korean? Not yet, but it's only a matter of time. By 2040 my project should be complete. I am amassing a large amount of funds for medical procedures and transplants. I will transcend race. My children will be more Corean than me ofcourse. My current girlfriend on Tinder is 100% Corean from Seoul. I found the Missing Link to become the master race. It is within th Corean people, this ancient genome. How come you no have Corean wife? You don't wantbto increase IQ and advance the Viet race?

Hong Kong people have high IQ too, Singaporean too. Viets growing up in developed countries have high IQ too. Stop trolling. You are wasting  many hours of life saying nonsense.

Nobody did surgery to get slitty Korean eyes or get jaw implant to get the mongoloid wide jaw! Kpop look is not Korean look.

That's what he has said in plain English. Gosh,  you double digit low IQ peasants cant seem to grasp basic English. Gurl, you are slow as hell. You need your azz a Korean man too, your childrens' IQ could use a few pts increase.

Obtuse speech is schizophrenic, not a sign of hi IQ. I have the gift of expressing ideas in simple language. That’s a sign of hi IQ.

Yes, dear, we all know you're a simpleton. That's not the issue. You definitely need a Corean man.

    Lol. What’s your obsession w k men?

Why not just eat kimchi? I ate some kimchi and took an IQ test and my IQ is went way above normal.  In fact, I even beat Doramon's measly IQ of 135.  She even dared to challenge me.  I whooped her azz til there's no tomorrow.

Who is this Doaremon I keep hearing about? From the name alone, I already do not like this Japapohile peasant. Gosh, why would anyone worship Japanese, the race of horny perverted sexually depraved  dishonorable sickos. Even their God Amaterasu abandoned them to jump off cliffs and to be vaporized by energy yields from the Atom bombs. Gosh, why would anyone worship these losers. If you must have idols and God in your life, chose Corea.

Well a ho ho ho... she a fine little puss my lad.  You are will forever graced with her effervescence personality and vitriolic verbal attacks if you ever meet her.  Her voice is pure soft and mellow melodious tone.  All people should be attacked by her, it's kind of like getting beaten down in a massage parlor, constant hits and head slaps.  As you know, all Vietnamese should be beaten for their own good so that they can build character.

Here, hear her cook some fish maw.

Your Kpop worship is funny, why would you fornicate with people who have smallest dicks and boobs in the world?

They get cosmetic surgery to appear more like Korean celebrities or social influencers.
